This 6-day journey is a true Saharan adventure – moving to the rhythm of the caravan, surrounded by silence, sand, and an endless horizon. From Desert Camp Chraika, you’ll set off with guides and camels toward the majestic Erg Chigaga dunes. Along the way, you’ll camp in the wild, enjoy traditional meals cooked over an open fire, taste bread baked in the sand, and sleep beneath a sky full of stars. It’s travel in its purest form – unhurried, close to nature, and in tune with the spirit of the desert.

Wild Camp

Guides choose the best place to camp depending on the weather, wind direction, terrain, availability of firewood, and the position of the sun (shade). They also make sure there are no other camps nearby — so the desert experience remains intimate and undisturbed. The camp consists of a kitchen tent and participant tents — either large nomadic tents that can accommodate up to 4 people or classic smaller tents.
